septum jewelry size that you can flip up?!

it would be pierced with a 14 gauge but what size balls and what width?

or would a retainer be better? what size?

  1. i have a 10g septum piercing.

    gauge size doesnt really matter for being flipped up, but you could probably flip up with a 3/8th diameter circular barbell at the gauge of your choice.  (the biggest i could find with a 3/8th diameter was 14 and 12g)

    right now i have a plug in.

    also retainers are usually universally sized for width.. so just get whatever gauge you're getting it pierced at.


  2. get it pierced with a 14ga retainer so that youve got the retainer when you want it flipped up(thats what i did)

    once its healed you can get other jewellery for it, but just keep the retainer as well
