PERM Green Card Case Labour query?

My PERM case number is starting with A and it has 10 numerical numbers. Every one mentioned their perm case number starts with P D. So what I got from my employer is rite or wrong? Please reply if anyone has idea on this

  1. If your number starts with A, that is your alien number (Green Card number). It is one letter (Namely 'A') followed by 9 digits. Sometimes the first digit is zero and lef out. Numbers starting with PD may be passport numbers or some other thing.


  2. You should be better off asking the firm/attorney who filed your case about the status. They should be able to advice you clearly and tell you were you stand.

    I had mine cases done from a firm in So cal, e-mail and ask them. I know they offer consultation free and have 100% success in their cases since the past 4 years. I'm sure they will be able to help you check status and see how its going.
