im from louisiana and we're about to evacuate with our beloved oscar. what is the best way to transport him with as little stress as possible?

  1. You need a very large tub or bucket, or indeed a smaller fish tank. Take the filter with you also (keep it wet in another bucket of tank water)

    While moving him a large tub with a lid will do (or a fish bag in a tub if he's still small), when you get where you're going you'll need to set up the filter in the large tub with him.


  2. Sorry to hear about you having to evacuate the best way to is find a suitable container that is clean and is big enough for the fish to swim in and put as much water as you can out of it's tank in the container and if you have access to a battery operated air pump similar to what you use to keep bait when fishing put the air line in the water and when you get to where you are going try to find a tank to transfer it to until you can go home.
