PETA needs to leave horse racing alone!?

Question

I work as a groom at a Belmont Park, and PETA has been driving me nuts with their claims about how we torture horses this, and drug them that. Yes, there are a few bad apples, and the law deals with those scoundrels. But I, along with most horsemen and women, care deeply about the horses and would do anything for them. Read this article:

It's ridiculous! I don't think PETA could ever bring horse racing down. Horse people are among the most caring and honest people in the world! There is plenty of evidence that proves that the horses are treated with respect and dignity. PETA should just f*ck off, pardon my language. If I see another protest at my beloved racetrack, I'll go insane!

they have absolutely no clue about what they are talking about. and they don't bother to learn. the way they are going on about how bad racing is is totally wrong. and how people shouldn't eat meat... don't get me started!!! do they realize that humans have been eating meat for thousands of years? even animals eat other animals. those PETA people need to get a clue.

What cracks me up about PETA is when ever a crisis happens whose the first one in line to protest? Its PETA. what stuck me odd about the article is near the end when it mentioned about drugging, and training, and beating the RACEhorses. Hate to break it to them but its not only the race industry that drugs and whips their horses. I wish PETA would open their eyes and realize that half of the industry does mean methods. Some methods aren't mean, for example if I have a horse that acts up and won't quick rearing and bucking, I'll whack them on the poll to get them to stop. When its over I'll lunge the dog snot out of the horse.

PETA will never get the horse industry to stop. Its impossible and if they some how get it to stop, I bet they'll still have horse racing illegally just like who NASCAR had gotten its start.

Your last line, "I'll go insane", is what PETA is hoping for...so please do not let them win!

PETA is a borderline extremist organization, they support terrorist acts by the groups like ALF, who have damaged professors homes, blown up buildings, burned homes and businesses, all in the name of saving animals. In the late 1970's while I was a student at MSU, they blew up the animal sciences building, killing many dogs, cats and other animals, not to mention gutting the building.

PETA pays people to demonstrate, on their website they list the expenses as different causes, but burried in the causes is the expenses of hiring people to protest!  They spend a vast amount of their money on the salaries of thier staff!  They spend almost 12% of their money recruting new members!!  Just under $4 million last year alone!!

PETA is hiding it's true desire behind a name that at first sounds very reasonable,  Ethical Treatment of Animals.  It is their interpretation of what is Ethical that is a joke.  They want everyone to become vegitarians!  They spend a very low percentage of their money on actual animal resucue...they spend a huge amount of money on themselves!!!

Don't let them get to you, if you ignore them...laugh at them....eat a big juicy hamburger in front of them....offer to buy them a hotdog.....Ask them directions to the nearest KFC...Ask them for a tip on the 5th race.....anything to make them look like the stupid people that they are.....then you are the winner and they will go away.  They always do!  They can't sell memberships at the racetrack...so they will leave!!
