Exactly what the title says. I recently got some virus through a download (and no it's not p**n, and please don't say "Omigosh, don't download stuff). It's a long story. My friend sent me something, I downloaded it, turns out his account was hacked by this person and contracted the same virus, and now he's giving it to me. I don't have a reformat CD sadly. The symptoms of this so called "Virus" is that starting up some things causes problems, holding backspace on lots of text lags, and alt tabbing freezes. I also suspect that this virus is taking up the PF making everything lag. I really need help and I beg of the Yahoo! Community to help me!

  1. you probably are infected with malware.  Even though you removed the virus, i bet you that there is all kinds of c**p that is still on your computer.  You can download a program like hijack this which will show you all the possible culprits.  You can do a free online scan at adwarefixes.com......but be forewarned their site looks like c**p but it does a good job.
