PGA Coaches to give free golf lessons at the Open Championship 2012
Visitors to this year’s British Open will receive a nice surprise. Top coaches from the PGA will be at hand to give golf tips to everyone.
The idea is to give spectators a chance to talk to and receive a few pointers from the best coaches in the world. The idea is no small golf clinic. As many as 20 coaches will be available at Royal Lytham & St Annes, where the event is scheduled to be held.
More than 2,500 lessons will be given to golfers with all skill sets and ages. From absolute beginners to people with a moderate handicap, all players will be welcomed into the coaching sessions. There will no restrictions in terms of age or gender.
This is a novel idea that has never been tried in any major tournament before. This is one of the best ways to engage the spectators and really make them a part of the event. In addition, the concept also creates the awareness that golf is for everyone.

SwingZone, a training green and putting area will be the venue of the event. The area has been enlarged and more space is added to swing area putting practice area. This development comes as a bid to increase the number of people that come to SwingZone for
training and recreation.
Fans and experts have been waiting for the upcoming Open Championship anxiously. This is one of the most prestigious events of the year with a number of players looking for a good position on the leaderboard.
The announcement of free lessons was made in the hopes that people will start coming to the golf course once again. Coaching and training is one of the most important revenue sources for any golf course.
The fans were very appreciative of the training course. This is a unique offer that is a major first for any tournament. If it becomes successful, this attraction could become a regular feature of all major events in the coming future.
The 2012 British Open Championship will go down in history as a major game changer for golf event management.
