PGA Party in Phoenix to welcome Jarrod Lyle
Jarrod Lyle might not have been able to perform that well at the US PGA Tour event scheduled at TPC Scottsdale, but the Australian is still all set and prepared to attend the party happening to take place in Phoenix.
The golfer finished at 62nd last year at the event. However, the slump has been a recent and a rather surprising one for many.
This is primarily because the golfer was able to surprise all his fans and even his critics when he became the eighth man to tee it easily for the 16th hole.
The excellent, rather astounding, display of performance provided him with the opportunity of joining other veteran and legendary players like Tiger Woods.
Commenting on the arrangement and scheduling of the event Lyle said, "The stadium was probably only a little over half-full when it happened but it felt like there were 100,000 people there".
He went on, "I can't really compare it to anything but I reckon it would be like a football player walking onto the MCG on grand final day. It was incredible it was so loud, it was just awesome".
Meanwhile, it is also important to mention here that while many golfers have whole-heartedly welcomed the party event, this is certainly not the opinion of the majority.
Opponents of the idea believe that holding a party especially in the middle of an event is not an intelligent thing to do.
Advocates have defended their stance and position by saying, "It's not something you usually associate with a golf tournament but it's certainly what makes this tournament what it is".
Lyle, being one of the chief advocates of the event, said that those who are not interested must not become a part of it. It is as simple that. They must not try to ruin the feeling of fun that is associated with it.
Jarrod is definitely not alone in the venture as there are other Australians who have joined him in the materialisation of this objective.
These include Robert Allenby, Aaron Baddeley, Greg Chalmers, Mathew Goggin, Matt Jones, Nick O'Hern, Rod Pampling and Marc Leishman.
Among all others Baddeley is most well known for the victory he achieved at the US PGA Tour, back in the year 2007.
