PGA Tour Caddies: Are they normally older or younger than the players?

And by how much? It seems like a lot are older but by around how many years? Easy ten points! Thanks!

  2. I would agree they are generally older, but by how much I wouldn't know.  You want a grizzled veteran on your bag that knows the courses, the greens and some of the tricks of the trade, not someone less experienced than you.

  3. i would say 10-15 years older and they are usually experienced.

  4. The majority of the PGA caddies are older than the players who employ them. Some by very few years and others with a longer span in age. Several  of the older caddies continue because they are not qualified to do anything else.
