PGCC and GAO announce 5-year rendezvous
The Peterborough Golf & Country Club, and the Golf Association of Ontario have joined hands in organizing provincial championships and qualifiers up till the year 2015.
The PGCC and GAO have thus aligned their goals and will host events of high profile golfers for the next five years. The announcement was made yesterday on the 15th of November and declared the instigation of rendezvous from next year.
The first event scheduled is the Ontario women's Champion of Champions which is set from the 16th of June. As far as the men’s event is concerned, the Ontario senior men's affair is programmed for the 14th of June, 2012.  
The Investors Group Ontario men's mid-amateur is planned next for the year 2013 and will be played from the 17th to the 19th of June. After June’s game, September will hold the Ontario senior men's better-ball championship on the 14th.
The year 2014 will hold the Ontario men's Champion of Champions event on 12th of June while the Investors Group Ontario men's amateur is scheduled in the year after that from 14th July up till 17th of that month.
The announcement was made at a press conference held by Randy Millage, who is the PGCC ex-president and several rules official to state were laid out. Along with Millage, the current president Martin West, the executive director of GAO Dave Mills, the general
manager of PGCC Robert Lauzon and Paul Ayotte were also present at the press conference.
According to the Martin West, this is an amazing opportunity for the world of golf to witness one of the best golfers, both men and women, around. The current president explained why they planned a stretch of five years and said that they basically intended
to give back to the golfing world which they plan to attain by using the grand golf course they hold.
“The plan is simple - initiate small, hit big,” Martin West said.
Other than the earlier stated events, 2011 also holds two events to be played; the qualifying round for the Ontario junior spring Classic scheduled on1st of May and the Ontario amateur on 29th of May.
The above stated events will also be held in the years further 2011 and are scheduled on the 6th of May for the 2012. The year 2013 has the 5th of May booked while the upcoming 2014 and 2015 has scheduled the 4th and 3rd
of May for the same event.
