PGE Skra Belchatow targets victory at the 2010 FIVB Men’s Club World Championship
PGE Skra Belchatow is one of the top men’s volleyball clubs in Poland. The Polish club is up for the big challenge at the Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar, which is supposed to start tomorrow (Wednesday, 15th December,
2010). The Polish squad seems fully charged to display an incredible show at the Club World Championship. In recent memory, they demonstrated their skills at the CEV Champions League in Germany. They played their last match against VfB Friedrichshafen of Germany
on Sunday and were successful. The players' morale is high after stealing the show at the Champions League and they are determined to once again make a difference with their classy performance.
The Polish “army” is headed by coach, Jacek Nawrocki who is eying the final round slots at the Club World Championship. He has urged the team to play with a thirst for victory, in order to achieve success. He said,” One of the
most important things will be a high level of concentration. I want my players to focus only on their next game. I want them to think only about the upcoming opponents. You must not make a mistake and expect a place in the semifinal for nothing. The only way
to reach the summit is to have in your mind only the next step. The team who think about the final too early may very easily fall down.”
Nawrocki has assembled a great team for this competition. Top striker, Bartosz Kurek will be the main weapon of Poland’s team. The 22-year old player has great talent to lead his team to success. He exhibited exquisite form at
the CEV Champions League and enabled his team to finish on the podium. He has been attached with the team for quite a long time. He was part of last year’s team, which settled for second position at the Club World Championship, 2009. They lost the final to
Italy’s Trentino BetClic last year but this time around, they are determined to pave their way to the title trophy. In addition, there are other experienced players in the Polish team, who will surely create a buzz in the game.
PGE Skra Belchatow is scheduled to open the tournament by taking on Iran’s Paykan on Wednesday, which will be a must see encounter. They have high hopes to do well and be successful at the Club World Championship.
