PHF Academy, Karachi, Faisalabad win games in PHF Junior Super Hockey League
In the ongoing PHF Junior Super Hockey League, Karachi, Faisalabad and PHF Academy have won their respective games played on Wednesday at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore. Meanwhile, the game between Sialkot and Lahore ended in a 2-2 draw.
In the opening game of the day, Karachi powered an 8-0 victory over Quetta to get a dominating position in the league. It was a complete one-sided game where Karachi scored eight goals, while holding Quetta scoreless in the period.
Ali Noman scored the first goal of the day in the 26th minute of the game and boosted his team-mates to storm the opposite defence-line. Among the other scorers, Ahmed Zubair notched a couple of goals in the 30th and 43rd
minutes of the match. Zohaib Azeem scored two goals in the 36th and 68th minutes while Salman Khan accounted for a goal in the 41st minute of the match. In the later time, Mohammad Sarjil and Abdul Fahad Khan added one point
each in the 57th and 64th minutes to seal a commanding eight goal victory for Karachi.
Amazingly, the PHF Academy team outplayed Peshawar by same eight goals, 8-0, in the second match of the junior league. The winning side equally scored four goals in the each half. The midfielders from PHF Academy displayed impressive game and earned an impressive
victory in the game. Daud Khalid opened the game by a field goal in the 8th minute, while added two more in the 18th and 55th minutes. Shahid Jamal and Mohammad Naveed scored one goal apiece in the 10th and 26th
minutes to further strengthen their position in the game. In the later time, Zohaib Asharaf and Mohammad Asif Ali chipped in two and one goal respectively and made the convincing victory possible.
In another game, Faisalabad edged past Multan by five goals, 5-0. The resilient defence from Faisalabad kept Multan off the scoreboard throughout the two halves. Bilal Qadir, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Adnan Anwar scored one goal each in the 9th,
30th and 38th minutes of the game. Dilber Hussain was at his best and scored a couple of goals in the 49th and 54th minutes of the contest.
The final game of the day between Sialkot and Lahore ended with a two-all draw. Arslan Sherazi and Mohammad Fahad of Lahore scored one goal each in the 39th and 51st minutes, while Mohammad Umair of Sialkot added a brace  in the 43rd
and 62nd minutes of the match.
The Sialkot Team will face PHF Academy while Quetta will meet Multan, Lahore to Faisalabad and Peshawar will play against Karachi on Thursday May 05, at the National Hockey Stadium.
