PHP content management system, which one?

I'am goiong to be running the web site for a ski team. There seems to be so many out there dose anyone have any suggesting for me to use hopefully free!

I would like it to do these things if possable..

Posting new news items

A section which perment infomation.

Just suggest any good ones!

  1. There are many but the best is JOOMLA. This requires sone intermediate knowledge of web designing. There is other one which is basically a CMS. Try it. wordpress.

    There might be others but JOOMLA is a proven one and very popular.

  2. For a PHP web content management system I would recommend Mambo. http://mambo-foundation.org/

    It has been around for 8 years and is one of the most popular CMS in the world.

    I think you need to consider how much content you are likely to add though and it may well be that a fully-fledged CMS would be overkill for your site. Have a look at WordPress.

    As you can see, there is no problem posting news, results, information and photos.  

    Although WordPress is essentially a blogging platform it can be used like a CMS and has both static informational pages as well as posts which are used for news and time-sensitive information.
