Yeah, because the moon has about 1/6th of the Earth's gravitational force. For example, lifting a 90 lb sofa on the moon would probably feel like lifting a 15 lb weight.

so despite the object having the same mass, the force of gravity on the moon would be less so therefore it would weigh less
