EG. mass=927kg

represented by the weight of the object= (9.8m s-2xm)

that is how the question is set.

  1. dude that stuff is easy,

    M*g= N

    Mass x gravity= Normal force along the y-Axis.

    And if it's on an incline plane, the N would be (M*g)cos(Theta) where theta is the angle of the incline.

    The force, in newtons is 927 * 9.8 = X newtons


  2. 927 kg can sometimes be given as mass or sometimes as weight

    If the problem says "mass" (as it does above) then to convert it to "force" you need the equation

    Force = Mass x Acceleration

    The acceleration here is the one due to gravity which is always present for all objects on earth

    So, Force = 927*9.8 kg-meters/sec^2 (or "Newtons")

  3. A force being pressed onto a surface will experience an opposite but equal force exerted back.

    In other words, if the mass weighs 927kg and is pressed onto the floor by a weight of 9.8m, the floor pushes back with the same amount of force, 927kg X 9.8m.
