when I got my belly pierced about a week and a half ago, the piercer told me that my skin was soft and that the superior bead my start to sink into my skin.....I was suposed to bakc to her and get the jewerly changed but I have not been able to make it to the shop....

this is whats going on.....it started getting red and sore ( i suspected infection, but there was no irregular puss or any other symptoms of nfections.....) and for a few days I have noticed the top bead sinking farther and farther onto my skin.....its really starting to hurt! ive been cleaning it regularly and lifting it to get around the sunken bead, but im woried about it....so I took the top bead to let it relax for a while...Im going to put it back in before I stand up...but I dont know of im doing the right thing for it.....

im going to get the jewerly changed as soon as possible, but how should I keep the bead from sinking half way in all the time?

  1. I am sure this is not normal, usually the area does get a little sore, but the bead is not suppose to sink in at all. Your piercer most likely pierced it wrong. Go to another piercer immediately so they can help you with this situation by either saving your piercing and placing in a longer piece of jewelry or having to tell you to let it heal close and to repierce again later on. Good Luck.

  2. i have never heard of this before...but would i would do is go back and consult your piercer....thats always your best bet.

  3. you cant really do much but try going to another professional piercer and see what they say. but for now do sea salt soaks and also clean it with antibactiral soap.

  4. or go to another piercer...If they messed up the first time I wouldn't want them doing it again.
