PLAESE HELP!! what is the name of the part of an ice berg which is located under the water???

i heard a few years ago that there was a name on the part of an ice berg which is located under the water and then i forgot it and its realy wrecking my head could any body tell me the answer please

  1. I  don't think that it has a specific name.


  2. normally, 7/8th of the iceberg is underwater...its called an ICEBERG. the top 1/8 part which is jutting out on top is the TIP OF AN ICEBERG usually with snow

  3. I don't believe that I have ever heard of any terminology for the underwater portion of an Iceberg. It is all one thing, an Iceberg.

  4. Icebergs are Calved from glaciers becoming Calcon,parts of the iceberg under water are called Rams.
