Whats the risk of playing video games on a lcd or plamsa tv regularly, 6-8hrs daily. I was thinking to by a new tv but heard a rumour that plasmas can only be played for an hour on and lcd tvs have a slow reaction time with video games(i believe it's called response rate/refresh rate). Would either or be specifically worse for online lag?

If i were to put the settings on above average(such as 'vivid') and play 6-8hrs daily on a 50" plasma screen which was manufactured in 2007+ would i be subdued to burn-in? Do LCD's Burn in at all?

On a side question, can i play ANY video game system on a plasma/lcd tv for a prolonged period of time? ex Xbox 360, PS2, N64

  1. When using PLASMAS for video games it creates burn in or an image that litereally burns into the screen and stays there and seem slike a "ghost". Nowadays however plamas have new technology that prevents burn in but that doesn't help much because of the large amount of color, light, and movement that happens on a video game.

Using LCD's are the best way to go for using video games and they too last longer than plasmas.

  2. first off i must say yo should not play games that much get a job instead.

the plasma will burn and very quickly with the hours you play

LCD is not a s crisp as the plasma but you can hardly tell the difference

  3. i have a 46 inch lcd and i havent seen anything wrong with it sometimes i play some games on my ps3 for 6 hrs str8 and i dont see anything wrong i love it
