PLASTIC & CANCER: Will Saran Wrap kill me?

Plastic products contain a chemical that can encourage prostate cancer. BPA (bisphenol A). Saran Wrap is plastic, will it kill me?

It will definitely kill you if you wrap it around your face.

The lab tests usually use an enormous amount of chemicals for testing.  The amount of chemical you would ingest from having the occasional packed lunch wrapped in this would not be measurable.  Please stop worrying.  You are more at risk from eating meat which has been treated with antibiotics and hormones.

In it's natural state, unlikely. However, there have been studies that show plastic wrap, like Saran Wrap, leaches out carcinogenic agents when they are used to cover foods during microwaving. As a result of these studies, I try to make it a practice to use as little plastic as possible when microwaving.
