I was thinking about something without too much odour. I was also thinking a high protein - low carbohydrate food, but I don't know if that's the best decision. Can you please help me? Some recipes would help. Thank you :)

  1. If you don't know you shouldn't go.   day hike, backpacking, where how long? Bears are the least of your worries. You are gonna get lost better have some one with you who knows stuff ask them what to take.

  2. First off, if there are Bears, make sure you bring a First Aid Kit!

If you want a low scent food, you might consider buying MREs from your local Military Store. They last a very, very long time because they are dehydrated.

For protein, you can go to your local Farmer's Market and buy Protein Powder. It is usually located in the isle will all those white buckets that you use that metal hand-held shovel to scoop the stuff out...it's fun :D.

Anyways, just add the Protein Powder (which is generally cheap) to a shake or drink or something and your good to go!
