  1. That is hard to answer in the middle of the US you have tornadoes on the coasts you have hurricanes in the north you have blizzards take your pick its your project therefore your ideas.

  2. Well if you want safe I'd have to say Southern California.  It only rains here like, 3-5 times a year.  Tops.  That's gets rid of thunderstorms, floods, tornado's hurricanes and landslides.

As for snow.....well, it hailed a couple years back, but I'm not sure if that counts.

Wildfires occur occasionally, but the bad ones are usually caused by people so you can't count them.

Hasn't been an earthquake where I live for over 10 years.

I feel pretty safe where I am.  Nothing but blue skies...everyday.

  3. How about Alaska for the worst?

Safest is hard to say. Seems like every state has it's own problem weather issues. If not tornadoes or hurricanes then blizzards...

PS, Fargo is in North Dakota.

  4. According to the National Weather Service, weather-related deaths in the U.S. in 2006 numbered 566. This number is below the 10-year average (1997-2006) of 649. Heat was by the far the most deadly weather in 2006, claiming 253 lives, followed by flooding with 76 victims and tornadoes, which caused 67 deaths. Of the 566 weather-related fatalities, males accounted for more than twice as many deaths (378) as females (181), a fairly normal pattern. Males were more likely to be victims in all age ranges except the 90+ category, which likely reflects the fact that fewer males than females live into their 90s.

Although weather related fatalities were down in 2006, injuries were up. There were 3,489 weather-related injuries in 2006, up from 1,834 in 2005 and 2,428 in 2004. In 2006, heat was by far the biggest contributor to injuries with 1513, followed by tornadoes with 989 injuries, thunderstorm and high winds with 380 injuries and lightning with 246. July and August were the deadliest months in 2006. July claimed 160 victims, most of whom were likely victims of extreme heat, while August numbered 144 victims, again most likely victims of extreme heat. California numbered the most fatalities with 79 victims, 65 of which were heat related. New York, Pennsylvania and Illinois followed with 48, 46 and 45 losses respectively. New York and Illinois each lost 42 residents to extreme heat, while Pennsylvania numbered 29 heat victims and 9 flood deaths. Tennessee lost 40 citizens, 34 from tornado outbreaks.

  5. Probably hawai'i is safest.   No blizzards, tornados and very few hurricanes.   Worst depends on how you prepare yourself.   Got plenty of blankets, a generator and a wood stove?   Maine is ok.   Got a bomb shelter?   Kansasor Florida is ok.

  6. From experience, I would say that New England states, particularly NH and Vermont, are the safest to live in weatherwise. The worst thing that generally happens up here is a blizzard or two, which is referred to as a nor'easter in these parts, an occasional tail end of a nearly spent hurricane, and occasional spring flooding which is rarely of a serious nature. The worst states to live in are definitely Gulf Coast and other Southern states-tornadoes, hurricanes, droughts, floods, searing heat AND unbearable humidity!

  7. Virginia, Nevada and Utah are pretty safe, weather-wise.

Texas has huricanes and tornados. Not so safe. Louisiana and Florida aren't safe, either.

  8. You need to check on a weather site.

However, Fargo SD is supposed to have the harshest weather in that it can get below 50 degrees below zero.

Being biased for safest weather I would say my state of AZ, in that we do not have to worry about hurricanes, tidal waves, tsunamis, earthquakes and tornados like the east coast, west coast and the middle states. We also do not have to worry about snow fall or blizzards (except in Flagstaff) . The most worrisome weather we have which can said about many states is heat and wild fires in Northern AZ where Flagstaff and Prescott are, but usually it is due to some idiot throwing a match.

  9. live in a state of tranquility and peace

do not live in a state of panic and fear

    In which country

In Mexico the poorest state must be Guerrero

And Chiapas is the most beautiful

In the USA the more north the colder and that is worse i my point of view

So California would be the best

  10. I'd say tie between Florida and Louisianna for worst state to live in weather wise.

All of Florida is prone to Hurricanes,

and part of Louisianna is built below sea level O.o

  11. Rhode island is the smallest state but there is no tornados or hurricanes or huge storms so we are Safe thank god we live near the water!
