i was meant to be going to a reunion party tomorrow, it finishes at 8. My parents said i could go but they thought it ended at 6:30. They had planned on all of us going out for a meal because my grandma is going on thursday. I don't want to offend my grandma or anyone but i was really looking forward to going and seeing all my old class mates. Help?

  1. Leave early from the party. Then you'll be able to attend both events.

  2. Save the best for last. Go for dinner with grandma then head straight for the reunion half way through dinner. Your grandma will understand.

Oh dear, your grandma has to leave for New Zealand the next day?? Then forget about the reunion party. You can still organise something later to make up for all the absentees. As for your grandma, you'll never know if you'll see her again on earth. So better spend time and treasure the moments like it is the last with her then.

  3. why not go for a late dinner?

  4. go to the party for a while then with ur grand papy

  5. Talk to your parents about your situation.  Explain that you want to do both and perhaps you can.  You could go to your reunion from 4:30-6:30 or later is they agree.  Then all go out to dinner after that.  All of you need to just be honest and flexible.

  6. Tell your parents and your grandma that you won't be able to dine with them on that evening. Visit or call your grandma to explain what is going on, she will understand.

  7. go to the party

  8. Go to the reunion first, you may not it enjoy it as you think.Leave early to eat with your gm. Not sure of the times set. Suggest having breakfast/ brunch before she leaves on Thursday that way y'all spent time and you get to hang out with your friends.3) Go to dinner explain to gm that you have a reunion to attend and that after wards you'll spend time with her or Thursday before she leaves, get her flowers or something while you at it.

  9. Are you not able to attend both? What time does your reunion party start?

With not knowing the start time, I say go to the reunion party and leave early to eat with your g/m.

  10. If I were you, I will go for the reunion party which doesn't come along that often. If your parents are understanding, they will let you go. If you think they are not and will not, then don't tell them that it actually ends at 8. Just go for the reunion and face the wrath later. All the best.

  11. do both.  Have them pick you up from the party so that you can properly say goodbye to your grandmother.

  12. Try arranging with your parents making the meal slightly later

  13. Why don't you take your grandma out tonight?  Just make it an impromptu night out...you get to spend some time with grandma and enjoy your reunion tomorrow.  OR..order some food you all love and have a wonderful casual dinner at home!

Let me know if it works out for you.  Good Luck!

  14. go to your party..and see if you can go to dinner with your grandma another time.  she should understand, she was young once and would probably tell you to go with your friends.
