Happiness isn't something that depends on our surroundings, it's something we make inside ourselves.

i need a few well thought out sentences explaining what this means to you.

Well that is pretty simple.. We have a small story in Armenian similar to this.. In a small town a very wealthy couple sit alone in the dark, gloomy and full of emptiness. When from a distance they hear the sound of laughter and singing coming from a small and tiny little house. They decide to go and see what it is that makes this couple so happy, how is it they can laugh and sing when they are so poor. They walk in, and ask the couple why are you so happy, and the couple reply by saying " we have a little ball made of gold" and the rich couple of course automatically assume they mean real gold, and they ask to see this piece of gold, and the poor couple show them to their child who is already sleeping in his bed.. The point of the story is I think the same as your verse.. It does not take much to be happy, you just have to know what it is that will make you happy..

There are documented examples of children in a cancer hospital who are dying and yet they inspire the medical staff because of their thankful attitudes about life.

Surroundings includes possessions and many times having too many or very valuable  possessions just gives a person more to worry about protecting.

Even children raised in an orphanage can grow up to be well balanced adults if they possess a strong will to survive and a sense of humanity.

and last of all,

Happiness happens when one becomes satisfied with who they are no matter where they live or who is near them.

The happiness conspiracy is how I view happiness. An emotional state of joy and satisfaction brought by anything to the person. Some people state you can't buy happiness. Only you can make yourself happy. No one else can. You have to love yourself and find peace with in yourself before you can find happiness. Well all souls are different and find ways to make them feel that emotional state of joy and satisfaction. There is not one set rule for happiness or definition in the dictionary. It's the emotion gained from whatever the source is. Hence, The happiness conspiracy.
