PLEASE ANSWER-- out of these noodle choices which one is the healthiest??

rice noodles, egg noodles, udon noodles, ramen noodles, rice stick noodles(pho), rice vermicelli noodles or lo-mein noodles,

or is rice the healthiest out of all?

  1. Of the list you provide, I'd say probably the egg noodle.  Some people prefer rice noodles, but for people who may be sensitive to glycemic load (like diabetics) rice's high index would make them less healthy.  Then again some people are sensitive to Wheat Gluten, making Rice better for them.

    The best would be a whole grain (Wheat, Kamut, etc) noodle because it contains more than just the starchy endosperm of the grain.


  2. Brown rice is the best, that's what the doc's tell you to eat.

  3. All of these are about equal.  They are all simple carbohydrates.
