Question

Can a female mouse and female hamster live together?

I heard that they can but i want to know for sure and i also heard that only females can ,live together and not males and females but females and females so can they?

try it.if they don't get a long you may have to give one back or get another cage. just make sure you put them both in at the same so one doesn't get anxious and the other doesn't start guarding its territory. hope this helps x

If you have a ball, try putting the smaller one (the hamster) in the ball. Then put them together. If you see them fighting, or trying to break the ball in 2, then it wouldn't be such a good idea to keep them together.

i am not sure if you should use the ball, but it keeps them so they can't bite each other!

That is a HUGE no! 2 different species can not live together. Hamsters especially, thay are very terratorial.

no because they'll fight!!!!!!!I  tried it because noone told me not to so i did and one almost killed the her but luckily i got there in time and i put it in a different cage.I guess u could try it but keep and eye on it just in case!!!I think it depends on the hamster or mouse!!!

No! Hamsters shouldn't even live with another hamster let alone a mouse!

I would first put them together and watch them for about 30 min. and then if they don't fight then they can but, if they have different diets it is not a good idea to because the hamster might eat the mouse food instead and not get nutrients it needs.

Mmm, I would watch them too. I'd say no males and males, because they might fight.

Mice and Hamsters both eat vegetables, so try putting some grated carrot, and lettuce bits. Small. So they can eat them easily.

But I suggest you seek vet advice.
