PLEASE Answer ASAP!!!?

Question

My 2 sites www.freewebs.com/animalfriends101 and www.ahelpingpaw.blogspot.com . How do they look? What is needed? What should be changed? A lot of people tell me the backrounds. But what pages? And im trying to get animal pics on but dont know how. How can i advertise? HELP!!!

Since you have asked for an honest critique...

1. Change the background. It's too bright and annoying. If you want to use a pattern, how about a dog's paw print? It would tie in nicely with the name of your web site.

2. The red is very annoying. (I realize this is somewhat subjective.) I expect to see red if there is a warning or something life threatening (such as a FIRE, a STOP sign, etc), but for a web site, you want to create a more inviting and comfortable user experience.

3. Check your spelling and grammar. I understand that you are young, but if you want to be taken seriously and have instant credibility with your readers, then you have to take strides to ensure that everything is well written.

4. I know you hope to incorporate images on dogs onto your site soon; I believe this will make it look and feel a little friendlier.

5. I'm repeating myself, but lose the red. I almost logged off while waiting for the site to load.
