  1. lol, mate. Yep you will have sliced through some responsive tissue for sure when you did the deed on your bike... and the numbness is your body's reaction to trauma.. at least until it heals a bit. Your mind is protecting you from the pain. Thank heavens for self preservation eh!

Not to worry. You'll recover. My son did something stupid on his skateboard.. a kickflip 360 down 10 flights of stairs... anyway.. now he has a steel plate holding his ankle together. He buys a new skateboard every couple of weeks... when I was a kid we got one and that had t last us our lifetime... sharing with my brother. You kids are spoilt rotten these days... take more care of your gear but take more care of your body mate... you only get one!

  2. don;t freak out..that a result of what they put in it to heal..give it time. call your Dr to be on the safe side..you will have to be careful not to over do it, or brek open the wound..hope you get well soon..

  3. Well You need to relax first, the anxiety wont help. You most probably did damage some superficial nerves and it hurts. If it is bothering you to the point of anxiety ask or call your Doctor and explain the situation. He knows exactly what is wrong. I think you should just keep the area clean and don't focus so much on it although I imagine you are also bored.

  4. They probably didn't staple your nerves or you would have known it immediately you probably damaged some nerves in the accident.

  5. don't worry, this is normal, maybe they just put in an anesthetic so the pain will be less.

or maybe this is just a result of inflammation. this usually lessens after 3-5 days.

  6. There has probably been some damage to superficial nerves (more likely from your accident, not the staples). You will likely get sensation back, but it can take months for nerves to grow back. There is always the possibility that you could have a numb spot for life, but that's not really a big deal. The things I would worry about are increased swelling, redness, drainage from the wound or fever. These are all signs of possible infection. Good luck.

  7. There could be some nerve involvement, but the ER people usually know what they're doing, and you need to monitor your condition and if it gets worse go back.

If you have any problem with movement of the leg or feet, including the toes, go to the ER.

  8. all good things come in good time
