I was gone out of town for a few weeks and I was supposed to have my period while i was out there but i didn't. When I came home me and my boyfriend had s*x. as we did before i left. So i was home a week and I still hadn't had my period. So I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I never had symptoms such as nausea. Then a few days to a week later, my period hit. It was really heavy and it cramped all night and it was thick..not just blood. maybe discharge. This lasted for a full 24 hours and it was over. then it went back to my normal period. My periods have always been light and over in about 4 or 5 days. I'm not on any medications or birth control. So can someone please help me?? thanks everyone i appreciate it!!!

  1. it doesnt sound like a miscarriage to me, this happened to me last year when I found out I was pregnant. sometimes its normal to have one period within the first 6 weeks of pregnacy and a little bit of discharge but I would go follow up with a doctor to like double check that things are okay :)

  2. I would definatley go see a doctor about it immediatly. It does sound like you could have misscarried. dont let this go unsolved because if you do, it may cause fertility problems for you later.

  3. go to your doctor!!! it might miscarriage and your health is in danger...

  4. You very well could have but the only way to know for sure would be to see a doctor. Depending on when this happened you may still have some HCG in your body that would indicate a pregnancy. They can monitor that to see if it's falling or rising. Definitely call up your doctor and make an appointment or go on in to the hospital if that will help.

  5. It sounds like you miscarried very early because it's very rare to get a false positive.  That would explain the heavy bleeding too.

  6. Same thing happened to my wife.. I'm so sorry.. I'm afraid you did...

may god be with you and your family

  7. I'd go to a doc. But you could have had a chemical pregnancy. It's the reason for most of the false positives. It's where you are actually pregnant but the baby doesn't actually implant or something like that and is basically a miscarriage but not really since it never started developing in the first place. It is very common, and happens to most women at least once throughout their lives.

  8. I would say so especially since you had a positive test. I had the same thing happen to me except my hcg wasnt high enough. I didn't find out I was positive until I lost it. I had the exact same thing though. Very heavy bleeding and cramping for like a day then a normal flow for a week. Thats what they told me I had!

  9. it very well could have been. especially if there were tissues in it.

1 out of 5 women miscarry.

    sorry, good luck!

  10. IT'S POSSIBLE THAT YOU MISCARRIED.IT'S COMMON TO HAVE CLOTS AND DEFINITELY CRAMPING. JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE SYMPTOMS DOES NOT MEAN YOUR NOT PREGNANT. MANY WOMEN DO NOT GET MORNING SICKNESS AND FEEL GREAT. THE ONLY WAY I KNOW OF TO DETERMINE IF YOU HAD A MISCARRIAGE IS TO EITHER HAVE AN ULTRASOUND  TO DETECT THE BABIES HEARTBEAT.THE DOC CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE BABIES HEART PUMPING VERY EARLY ON. ALSO THEY DO A BLOOD TEST TO MEASURE CERTAIN HORMONES PRESENT IN PREGNANCY EVEN IF YOU LOST THE BABY YOU WOULD STILL HAVE SOME LEVELS THEY COULD MEASURE AND THAN A FEW DAYS LATER THEY CAN CHECK AGAIN AND IF THE LEVELS DECREASE YOU ARE NO LONGER PREGNANT.I ADVISE YOU TO SEE A DR OR GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD. I WISH YOU THE BEST.

  11. its possible.try another test and see what it says.
