I'm having a REALLY hard time finding a campsite that will let 19 year olds... they all seem to be 21 plus. I'd like a campsite that is "youth" "young adult" friendly. I want a campsite with a fire ring/pit in the campsite most of all, and picnic table in the campsite would be nice too... i also like warm lake swimming... campsites that are in the forest but have a ocean/river/lake view...I'm trying to not go too far from Victoria but far enough away... nanaimo is good... something that is 2 hours or so away. I need to book it tonight THANK YOU!!!!!!

  1. Check out the Cowichan Lake area...sorry, don't have a specific   campsite name, but it's a really nice area!!

  2. Why don't you try a forestry campsite. I have been to a very nice campsite, situated along Cowichan lake. You can find it about 3 to 5 km north of Youbou. I think it was Little Shaw campsite, I found this on the internet:

    "Little Shaw Campsite

Located on the site of an old log dump at Little Shaw Creek, this small TimberWest site has five camping spots, all of which are carry-in. There are wooden tables, metal fire rings, some with grills and a pit toilet. The camping area is right on the lakeshore, so the views are clear, especially beautiful at sunrise or moonrise."

I would certainly recommend it. You don't have to check in or anything, you can just place your tents.  So you don't have to book. You can find nice spots on the beach with picnic tables and fire pits.

And it's not too far from Victoria, according to Google maps, it's 1 hour and 36 minutes to drive.

    Have fun!
