  1. Hairballs.

When cats l**k themselves, they swallow fur.  Over time, the fur gets caught in their stomach and intestines causing minor blockages and a general slow down of the plumbing.  And, we all know, what doesn't go down, comes back up.

Don't worry, it's an easy fix.

Get yourself some Petromalt, available at pet stores and Walmart.  Follow the directions on the tube.

    Problem solved.

  2. I would suggest taking little Reptar to the vet, it could be nothing but it could be serious.

And throwing up may possible be a sign of a more serious condition, so get  it checked out before it gets worse.

  3. Take himto a vet to be checked over.  Even if it is hairballs, he's obviously having a problem bringing it up so a visit to the vet would still be necessary.  It sounds as though he's bringing up bile as he has an empty stomach, and that sort of vomiting can mean many things.  Best get your vet to take a look.

  4. Your description of the vomit looking like cat food sounds like hairball to me.  The fact that it has changed makes me wonder if its not something else. Has any other things changed, like behavior or litter box contents?  Also that it seems to have just started may mean its something else.  Call your vet and describe whats going on and maybe they can confirm that its a hairballs.  I know that there is lots of hairball remedies out there, see what your vet may recommend if this is the case.  I hope your kitty is better soon, and Reptar is an awesome name.

EDIT: could also be that he is eating to quickly, if he is sharing with other cats he maybe trying to get his share.  And don't rule out hairballs, you wont necessarily see hair.
