  1. Princeton Review is really good for SAT review. The official SAT study guide will help but it is written buy collegeboard. Collegeboard writes the test so they're not going to get much more than the basics. The great thing about Princeton Review is that it will give you several helpful techniques that will help you make reasonable guesses on harder questions and save you time on passages which take up the whole page. In addition, there is a section which emphasizes vocab which appears frequently on the sat.

Private tudors or classes are helpful but expensive.

My critical reading score went from 530 (March) to 650 (June) after using princeton review.
