  1. this is posted a while ago.is that you who posted the same question?

er....as i said, you shoudl just remove the nest to a near tree where the parents can see it.

  2. Tammy C is absolutely right!

  3. Ask them to please delay the removal of the tree until the babies fledge, which will be in about one to two weeks.Otherwise, they will be responsible for the deaths of protected songbirds.Call your local division if wildlife and ask them to help you. If they can't stop the tree from being cut down, they can take the babies and raise them. Your parents are being selfish and unreasonable.

  4. Tie a clean margirine tub to a nearby tree with some rope. With gloves, gently take the nest out of the tree with the birds and put it in the margirine tub. The parents should come back for it there.

God bless you for your kindness and compassion to animals.

    Good Luck!

  5. Your parents are actually breaking the law if they destroy this nest..all wild native birds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treay Act...they could be fined or jailed for this.  You need to contact your local US Fish and Wildlife Service for advice on how to remove this nest safely or a wildlife rehabilitator who will be willing to take in the birds.  Also, if there is a safe area to move the nest to..that is not too far from the original location..you can do this.  If the parents can still hear the begging calls of the babies they should still be able to find the nest.   This is why all tree trimming, tree removal etc. should be done the other 8 months of the year that are NOT breeding season.  Look for a local rehab here if you need one:

  6. If you can 't convince your parents to put that off for a month or so, then my next best suggestion would be to see if someone can climb up & remove the next & relocate it to a nearby tree (maybe discuss this with the construction workers since they have the equipment, maybe they have ladders & such - stress you don't won't the birds/eggs injured in any way. My brother is a very hands-on building contractor & he would do that cause he loves animals, but everyone is different. If you can find someone else to move them before the tree gets cut down that would be even better - I'd suggest your DAD, but he's not sounding too compassionate, so maybe you have a brother, boyfriend, uncle, family friend, neighbor, etc that might help.

  7. insist on them leaving the tree alone by making them feel like their sociopaths.
