soooo... its a really hot night... its dark... I leave in the country and my neighbors are away on holidays.... they have a large fence around so nobody can see in and there is a small opening so we can walk right on into their backyard. We would never damage or steal anything me and my bf just wanna go for a nice swim..... SHOULD I?

  1. what about video cameras?

  2. no because you do not have permission, and if somehting is damaged.. screwed

  3. As fun as it would be...it's wrong.  However, the real issue is you don't know what kind of security they have.  Heaven forbid they have video cameras or someone house sitting.  It would be very hard to explain to them...even tho chances are they wouldn't care.  Better wait until they get home, go to them, tell them that next time they go out of town you would be more than happy to "keep an eye on things" for them and they'll probably take you up on the offer and you'll get to swim for doing something like, watering plants and getting mail for them.

  4. No you should not. If you do you will be trespassing. As much as you want a swim is it worth the risk of getting caught and going to jail? You would be violating their trust and if they found out they would be upset. Don't do it. It is not your property. Would you want someone to go in your home while you were gone? Just by asking this question you are stating that you know it is wrong. I'm just saying and hope I did not come off rude.

  5. If you are very careful to make sure you leave everything the way it was before and you are quiet I dont see you getting caught or it being a big deal.

  6. No. It's not your property. Ask permission 1st. They might not mind. But just to go ahead and do it? No. That's someones private property.

That's like saying you left your keys in the car & someone didn't think you'd mind if they borrowed it without asking you first. ...You wouldn't like it.

  7. its ok as long as they dont have an alarm system or anything, if they dont have anything that could let them know, do it. but if you would feel more comfortable if the knew about it so you wouldnt feel guilty and anxious you might be caught, call them and ask em

  8. A big NO. Would you feel ok walking in their house and eating their food just because they left their door open? it's the same thing. I own a pool and would have no problem with a friend wanting to use it as long as they asked first.

  9. OH YAH...go for it....what a hoot.......you only live once and besides it sounds like so much fun....I would be freaked out though...there on holdiays who is going to know?????
