PLEASE HELP I FORGOT HOW TO DO IT

Question

in this equation: 8x 3(2-3x) 28 (the x doesnt mean multiply, it is a variable). i am trying to combine like terms, which is the x. would you add the 8x to the 3x or add the 3x to the 8x, or something completely different? PLEASE HELPPPPPPPPP

I'll assume you mean 8x+3(2-3x)+28

First, distribute the 3 by multiplying each term in parenthesis by 3.

8x+6-9x+28

You have a +8x and a -9x, leaving -x

-x+6+28

Add 6 and 28

-x+24
