I am 14 years old and a girl. When I pee it really hurts at the end, when I stop. I had it a couple of weeks ago but then it went away so i thought nothing of it. it has come back now. I am only 14 and have not had s*x so it can't be an STD can it? My mum died when i was ten and i find it embarrassing to talk to my Dad about stuff like this. I really don't want to go to the doctors; is there anything I can do to make it go away by itself. Please help. I am really scared!

  1. You probably have a Urinary Tract Infection.

  2. Please don't be afraid! It just sounds like a urinary tract infection. You have nothing at all to worry about . However you really need to see a doctor. I understand about being embarrassed to talk to your dad but, you must go and get antibiotics. Do you have an aunt or another female family member you can talk to, maybe they would have a way to tell your dad so you don't have to, or even a girlfriends mom that you are close to? I'm defiantly NOT telling you not to tell your dad I'm sure he loves you and he needs to know when you are having health problems but maybe you could get one of them to approach him for you if you are really self conscious.

  3. You probably have a Urinary Tract Infection.

    Not a big deal.

Tell your dad and he'll take you to the doctor. Medicine should clear that up in a week or so.

    Or drink cranberry juice.

  4. Don't be scared love!!

This is totally a common thing.

Firstly, i'm afraid you do have to go to the doctor.

This sounds to me like a Urinary tract infection, which are very common in women and cannot be avoided.

It could either be this or a kidney infection. Both of these will get worse without a course of anti biotics and more painful.

So please visit your doctor soon, do not be embarassed! If you are, ring up and ask for a female doctor?

But just ask your dad if he would mind taking you to the doctor, as you need to see someone. He may not even ask what for, as dads can be very good when it comes to the private issues of their teenage daughters.

However, if you do tell him whats going on im sure he'll be very supportive and help you recover from it, he's probably had an infection like it once himself, so he knows what it's like!

Just cuz he's your dad doesn't mean he isn't in touch with you, and just cuz he's male doesn't mean you can't tell him things to do with your inner workings and womanhood :)

  5. It called cystitis (see below) and it should be treated by doctor. If you treat it early - you would not have problems later but if you would not treat it now - in future you can have it many times and with complications. Better viust your doctor!!!

  6. could be a urinary tract infection.

i had that once, just drink plenty of water and you should feel better.

but to be safe, go to the doctor and make sure its not a big infection.

also, you can't get an STD without any kind of sexual contact. :]

  7. It's probably just the beginning of a bladder infection.  There is nothing embarrassing about talking to your dad about it.  These things happen.

Cranberry juice has too much sugar.  Go to the pharmacy and buy cranberry pills.  Stay away from sugar. Drink tons of extra water.  Avoid soda pop.

  8. It's probably an infection. Try going to a pharmacy and look for a cream. But if it's really bad or happens again or gets worse, you should see a doctor.
