I diched summer school to go to another school so I could get a free class to help me with my reading.I have a problem reading I read very slowly and poorly, its not dyslexia.I stopped to get some breakfast and wait for the bus to come the bus stop is outside of it.As I waited I turned my head and saw my parents walking to the bus stop and in a moment of panic I hid under the table.Dad turned around because he saw my bike.I was to tall and my legs were sticking from under the table out my dad saw me.And then my mom walked in I realized they saw me so I got out from under the table my dad sat there waiting for an explanation.I was to ashamed and embaresed to look him in the eye.Since I wouldnt talk he told me to get the f**k hom.I know from that he and my mother both were extremely dissapointed. So should I come clean and tell them wat I was really going and loose their trust or just tel them some type of ly.I should add tht they over protectiv the wont even let me go next door by myslf.

  1. Well if you were really going to a class for help and you can prove that there was a class and that you were allowed to be there then you should tell them and let them know you don't want to have to sneak around behind their back and see if they can help you find some way to get the help you need. the issue is if something happened to you on the way there and you were hurt or kidnapped which does happen all the time. they would have had no idea where to look for you. so you need to understand their side of this...tell the truth

  2. Tell the truth. If it really was to help with your reading they'll be at least a little proud of you for wanting to be the best student you can possibly be and for telling the truth. Its always best not to lie to your parents unless its to save someone's skin-other than your own.

  3. i have the same promlem w/ reading as u do in jr high i had to take this class as an elective that helps u read

  4. weirdos

  5. Being the mother of a 12 year old son who has lied to me recently...my suggestion is to tell the the whole truth...

you'll be in MUCH less trouble being honest...cuz if they catch you lying...your just gonna get in that much more trouble...you've already decieved their trust...do ya want to make that even worse by adding lying on top of it??

  7. you have a problem with reading, in yet you spell perfectly until the last sentence.

  8. i think you should tell your mom and dad and find the best solution because nobody can tell you to do something unless we know the whole story but i think you should tell them i find out the best way to resolve this solution

  9. Just tell them and maybe they'll get you some real help for your reading. Good luck!! =] my parents are really overprotective too...isnt it annoying?

  10. I think you should tell them the truth because if you lie they probably would find out and wouldn't trust you to tell them the truth anymore. Since it's reading they probably will let it slide my parents are overprotective too but i think they would let it slide. Do what you think is right.

  11. i think there's been enough deception already. you should come clean and explain what you were attempting.as for the over-protective issue, that can be dealt with another way. in fact, this may be a good time to bring it up, as your decision was impacted by it. either way you will have to regain their trust and you must understand that it will take a lot of time to repair.

  12. You skipped summer school to go to ANOTHER  school? That is nothing.

Tell them you have problems reading, tell them about the class, and then ask them to come with you the next time you go for a few minutes to see what is going on. They have a right to know where you are, so going somewhere without telling them isn't ok, but if you explain the circumstances they might be able to give you a ride there (if they decide to let you keep attending).

If they paid money for your summer school, they will most likely be very mad and may not be able to get a refund. If this is the case, I think you should go to their summer school, since you mentioned the other one was free. They might be able to help you find another class that is offered at a different time from your summer school.

  13. how old are you?

so you ditched summer school at one school to go to another school for help right why don't you just tell them what you where doing and that you where going to another school to get help and if the don't believe you have them call the other school

  14. I would tell them the truth that you were really going to the place for reading. I would not mention that you think they are over protective. that is too much to say. I would just tell them the truth. Truth never hurts, LIES DO!!!

Either way, shape up and clean your room and make sure you help out more or a few days.

    good luck!

  15. wel if you think they will trust you less then i would say lie but they will probs find out you have lied so then they coud be even more over protective

  16. Let me get this straight...you ditched your regular classes in order to get help at another school for reading?  If that is what you are telling us, you need to tell the truth.  Hiding under the table with your legs sticking out probably embarrassed your parents and now they are mad because they think you were ditching to do something they would disapprove of.

Tell them the truth if you were going to another class. Ask them to help you get more help for your reading. If you were my child, I would not stay mad at you for trying to better yourself, but might be a bit irked that you tried to hide from me! If you Lie...you will end up losing all of their trust because they WILL find out...and what type of lie could you possibly tell that would be any better than going to another class?

  17. just tell them you were going to another school to get help for your reading. they would understand that you were trying to help

  18. tell them the truth they might b hapoy that u wanted to improve ur reading skills

  19. tell the truth it be better to tell it now then having them find out you lied about your lie which would probably get you in more trouble

  20. You have no reason to be ashamed and I would tell them the truth. It would be different if you were out doing something bad or illegal, but you weren't and your parents will understand that. Don't lie to your parents especially about something like this because chances are they will find out sooner or later and then it will be worse than ever. Good luck!

  21. If your parents had a sense of mind they wouldn't punish you for this! You need to make sure they know about this reading problem and thats where you were going. Don't be afraid! It happens and if they know then maybe they can help you! If you were my child i'd rather hear this than a lie! And I would get you some help so you dont have to sneak around! Good luck!

  22. Just tell them the truth

it is probably going to be better then a lie you are going to tell them

also, at least you didn't go somewhere bad or anything, you were actually going to a class where it helped with your reading

yah, your parents are still probably going to be mad at you, but just explain to them about your trouble and how that class helped you out instead of summer school

    Good Luck!

    x*x

  23. First of all, you are screwed Yes, very.

Do NOT lie to your parents. You screwed up by changing your plans without their knowledge. OVERPROTECTIVE?????? Are you crazy? they are being your parents, that means they love you are are trying to keep you safe . That is their job.

Solution, Sit down with them and tell them the truth. Tell them that when you saw them you panicked, and that;s why you hid from them. Tell the truth and be glad that they care about you.

You don't realize how lucky you are to have REAL PARENTS.
