PLEASE HELP Identity Theft or hacking, what do I do????

I just received an e mail that is very suspicious, its from a bank that I don't even have an account with, and it says that there have been too many times that the incorrect # was entered for my "account." But I never made an account with this bank and there are grammar errors in this email. Also when I click to its link my computer says that I can't go to that page. So I went to the actual bank website and entered the "Customer ID" that it said and when I entered it it said the number couldnt be verified. Now I am terrified that someone has either stole my identity and made an account in my name, or that someone is sending me fake e mails or trying to do something bad...... can someone please help me what are they trying to do and what should I do?

First off, YOU are most likely fine.

The only part about this is the fact that you CLICKED on the link.  

This could have been the whole trick of the email (to get you to click on the link for some type of Phishing Attack).

Next time, try looking this email up on www.snopes.com

Also, DONT click on links or files from unknown senders!  That is the best way to install Malware on your puter!

TO make sure you are safe, you should make sure your machine is fully patched and do two different virus scans (one with the one that is installed on your machine) and one with TrendMicro House Calls.

it is a scam.it isn't from the bank itself(mark this e-mail as a spam and don't worry,Anyway if you don't have a good protection then here the best free programs to get the best protection

Do not Try Entering Any Information in That Page.

it Is NOT A Real Email. Offical Bussness Emails From Any Company Will Never have Any Spelling Errors. Or Link Errors.

Report Your Email As Spam.

And Dont Be Afraid, If You Didnt Open A bank Account, Then You Are Fine. They Found Your Email Address, Not Your Bank Account information.
