OKay so i went to emerg lastnight due to really bad stumach pains ive been having lately. They couldnt figure it so thy took some blood to test to see if anything was wrong with it.

Now i didnt mention that i could be pregnant. Iam only 1 week past ovulation. Do you think my blood test will show if iam pregnant that early? and do you think pregnancy hormones would show up if they werent testing for it?

  1. blood tests normally pick up if your pregnant, as your hormones change, and changes your blood

pregnancy can show in your blod or on a home pregnancy test, 2 weeks after the 'conception' date, sometimes it takes longer

    good luck

  2. ya, i think it would show up and im sure they would wonder what was up if they saw how your hormones are

  3. Honestly, after one week of pregnancy, the levels of the HCG hormones in the blood are not very high. In fact, they are probably barely detectable, they have not had enough time to build up. So, I have to say that they will not be able to tell, for the most part, if you are pregnant. And no, the pregnancy hormones wouldn't show up unless they were testing for it....

It's crazy...here you are, trying your hardest to get pregnant..and then on Yahoo answers, you see 13 year olds posting  questions about how they became pregnant, whether they should or should not have the baby, and how they're so scared because their parents are going to find out and the kicker is...they weren't even trying to get pregnant in the first place!

It's almost a joke, really. Just as a little story, My husband and I tried to conceive for a while year. Last year around Thanksgiving time, it finally happened. I think it wasn't happening for a whole year because I was stressing so much over it. I kept thinking about the baby. I kept counting days, researching my ovulation charts, reading about all kinds of crazy methods to conceive a child. I had baby on the brain. Finally in November last year, I gave up. I had a move to think about. I had to pack things, clothes, furniture...had to get an apartment, start paying new bills with my husband, make a road trip to our new state..things were hectic and I forgot about baby-making, and somewhere around that time, it happened. I think when you are anticipating a child, your body isn't going to respond only because of how the stress hormones are high even though you don't know it. And this can even put your cycle off. It sucks, really. I have some really helpful sites for you though..you should check them out:

Good luck..I know it's so freakin frustrating...but it will happen. Like I said, we tried for a year..now I'm 37 weeks and almost ready to say Hello to my own little one. I do wish you the best.

  4. The blood test could pick up the pregnancy hormone if you were a day pregnant.  With my second son, I almost went to the ER, because I felt like I was having contractions....they stopped by time we went to my moms to drop off my oldest son.  So I followed up at my doctors, and found out I was pregnant.  I was expecting to hear a cyst bursted or something else other than what the told me.  Good Luck!

  5. it could show up hope all goes well good luck

  6. blood tests reveal the slightest level of hormone in ur body...i think like a week  after conception will show from a blood test
