  1. the filter must be on all day you not need to clean your tank just change 25% of the water every 1-2 weeks and you not have to move your tank because every gal is 10 pounds so if you get a 30 gal = 300 pounds. just get a strong filter

  2. Keep the filter on at least i do i have a 100 gallon tank and to clean it without moveing it go to a fish store and get a sucker thing it is a long tube connected to a big colum it sucks out  the p**p and algae in the rocks and puts it into a five gallon bucket(the bucket is where the tube leads to) then just move the colum around the tank and POOF its clean.

  3. Keep the filter on all day and get a 20+ gallon tank use a gravel vacuum to clean the tank. Goldfishs are very messy!!! Goodluck!!!

Edit also don't try to lift your tank or it'll crack and spill out water

  4. Unfortunately people often don't realize what they're getting into when they buy goldfish. They're very messy (they p**p a lot).

For two of them, you need a 20-30 gallon tank AT MINIMUM and a large filter. One with a "biowheel" or a "canister filter" would be best.

Assuming you have a good sized tank, you should change not more than 25% of the water each week or you will cause a lot of problems. Pet stores sell vaccums you can hook to the sink to vac the garbage and some water out of the tank more easily.

Moving a tank can break it, and if it is of appropriate size (20+ gallons) you wouldn't be able to lift it anyway.

Make sure you have the tank on something sturdy and read up on the "nitrogen cycle" as soon as you can.

Most likely you are currently poisoning them with ammonia.

  5. with 2 goldfish you will need at least a 30g tank. The filter should be left on all day, also you really need 60g of filtration for it.

You do not need to empty the entire tank to clean it. You need to cycle the tank and get a gravel vac to change 20% of the water once a week.

Here is some information on cycling a tank.
