how should i fight a case in which i am accused of possession of a knuckle duster and a pen knife and theft. i was beaten up by around 4 people for stealing but i did not posses the knuckle duster and pen knife which i wrote in the police statement but the police are charging me for that and i have hired a lawyer. one man tried using the knuckle duster and i defended myself and grabed hold of it and threw it aside and one man wanted to use the pen knife on me but people pulled him back. so they punched me until i was semi unconscious and when i went to the hospital and than to the police station and they said that the knuckle duster and pen knife was mine which i am accused of i think some people who beat me accused me so please how should i defend myself . please give me some good ideas. much appreciated.

  1. If you were defending yourself then you have nothing to worry about. Can you prove you were almost knocked unconscious? If you can then you can use it as a defence as you would not have been alert as anyone else and yes someone could have placed those items on you and you would not have noticed. Did you have any injuries arising from the assault on you? You can use this to prove you were the victim.

What about these 4 people who assaulted u? Have they been charged?

Have a good chat with your solicitor as he will be best to advise you.

The cops tried to stitch me up for something i didn't do last year so i know exactly how you feel. Personally I wouldn't trust a copper as far as i could throw them these days.

    Good luck to you.

  2. you NEED witnesses even if you gotta get  sumbody to help you out coz its not looking gud. get a teenager to come forward with a re enactment on there mobile , that happens all the time dunnit? gud luk

  3. please get legal advice, this is too serious for you to fight alone.

  4. You shouldn't have been stealing in the first place.

    You're screwed.

  5. Just fess up and admit you had them. Better to tell the truth than lie. Lying only gets to in deeper. If its a first offense, which somehow I doubt it was, they might be more lenient.

Oh yeah. Dont steal. Its fucked up.

  6. I do not believe you. I don't think the court will either.

  7. Go around the place where the people beat you up and see if you recognize anyone who could be an eyewitness. You never know if someone recorded the event or took a picture.

  8. You said you've hired a lawyer.  Why not ask him/her?

  9. Get a good defence lawyer. That's what they are paid for.

  10. I think the phrase "serves you right" is apt in this case.

Sorry but your story seems like a complete fabrication to me and I reckon the jury/magistrates will think that also.

You were stealing, got caught and (as far as I am concerned) got what you deserved.

Good luck trying to worm your way out of it.

  11. The truth will always come out if you did not do it.I don't think police act like this.Question are you Black? If yes it is not a surprise.
