Question:

PLEASE HELP ME! MIDDLE SPLITS!?

I have been taking gymnastics for almost my whole life at one academy and am transferring to another. there's just one problem: you need to try out and i still can't do the middle splits!! tryouts are next tuesday. if anyone has ANY advice for me it'd be VERY much appreciated!!

  1. Do you know anybody who can do them well and might be able to help you?


  2. Try this:

    1) Roll your hips forward facing the ground in the split and do not rest your weight on your hands.

    2) Lay on your back and split your legs open.  Gravity will push them down and give you a good stretch.  

    You might be able to improve a bit in one week, but it's going to take months to acheive a full split.
