Ah my dear little tree-hugger, if I knew the answer to that question I'm sure the world would be a cleaner and better place.  I'm just writing to let you know you are not alone.  I too hate pollution and litterbugs.  It seems that people are destructive beings.  They don't know how to cherish something of quality.  It's depressing, isn't it.  :(

Not merely lazy, but very numerous. Since the world population has doubled since 1970, you now have 6,700,000,000 people using up resources and creating garbage.

I often wonder this. We are blessed to live in one of the most

beautiful places on Earth: mountains, rivers and streams, winding

roads, lots of wildlife. And people come here from other places,

drive the roads, say, wow, this is really beautiful, and then

throw their trash every-friggin-where.

We have to go out and walk the roads, to pickup after! I cannot

understand the mentality of someone who'd garbage up Mother

Earth anywhere, but why come all the way here and do it?

I want to put up a big sign, "Do I come leave trash in YOUR

backyard???"

I am going to assume this is about litter? It always used to annoy me too, but you must realize that if we throw trash away it just gets buried and does more damage to the earth than if it were just sitting on pavement. The only harm it could do there is hurt an animal that tried to eat it, but how many wild animals do you see roaming around the streets eating litter in the cities where it is the most abundant? The only ones you'll find there are pigeons and rats. Other than that, I see litter as more of an aesthetic concern than an environmental one. But we should all recycle and stop using so much packaging!
