  1. Be careful !. You may be holding a dud check. Get it en-cashed before transferring any money to any one ! Is it from a Nigerian company?. Recently a women (an accomplice of a Nigerian syndicate)  was sentenced in state for sending out dud checks to innocent recipients, who were instructed to send out money through Western Union. They had to bear the loss. You can go to any Western Union agent and transfer the money out. Police will never be able to trace the recipients.

  2. Money 'laundering'?

Call the police, & ask to speak to someone who deals with financial fraud.  Unless you have a lawyer.  Then call your lawyer.  Or, call your bank.  Whoever you call, give them *all* the details.  Then ask them if your suspicions are well founded.  I think they are!

  3. you know your doing something illegal right?

Theres no reason for the company to use a "middle man" via a untraceable money transfer unless something illegal is taking place.  If i was you i'de either alert your local authorities or play the odds and hope you don't end up with aiding and ab bedding  a felony resulting in a minimum of a 15 year prison sentence.

It's up to you but i'de definitely get my info straight before completing such a shady transaction.  It sounds like a pawn off where in the case that the transfer gets caught you take the blunt of the criminal sentence as you were the one completing the transaction and the other two parties never dealt with one another.  Leaving you with a felony charge on the transaction itself.
