i am planing to tavel to the uk for holiday but i only have a travel document from holland for 5 year. do i need a visa from the british embasy or no. provide proof please

  1. What do you mean "a travel document"  I assume you mean the verblijfsdocument?

    The UK is not part of the Schengen zone, so unless you hold a EU passport then a document for the Netherlands will not allow you to access the Netherlands (as your passport/nationality overrides documents)

    My husband has an indefinate residence permit in the Netherlands but as he is non-EU must apply for a visa if we visit the UK. That is my "proof" - experience!

    Here you can check if your nationality means that you need a visa for the UK (but if you had to obtain one for NL then you will need a visa for the UK as well) http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/
