My boy is 4half months on solids sleeps 2x 2hour sleeps during the day. Bed time is 7:30pm till 6:30am with a feed around 2 and sometimes 5:30ish... I'm pretty happy with this altho he keeps waking at 11pm and on bad nights 11, 11:30 12;30 then 2am for his feed i was giving him his dummy but cut it out for 1-2weeks and had no real change...

Hes been doing this for about 1half months, I'm putting him in his own room tonight should i try cold turkey the dummy again, at the same time??

He also has 2 teeth but i don't really feel this is his problem??

Any advice??? Cheers

  1. My daughter was a great sleeper for 2-3 months, then she took to a pacifier (or dummy as you call it) and she started not sleeping as well because everytime it fell out of her mouth she cried. It got to the point where she would wake up 4 or more times a night when she used to only wake up once or twice. I finally decided we needed to get rid of the pacifier at night but let her use it during the days but it didn't work and I gave it back and the bad sleeping continued. Then we took it away entirely cold turkey (I threw them out so I wouldn't be tempted to give it to her). It took about 4 night of really bad night but now she's back to sleeping perfectly, sometimes 10 hours without waking!!!

  2. Please clarify, are you weaning him off his dummy?
