  1. No one at any age should be 200 lbs. at 4'3". I'm 5'9" and weigh 193, and I'm currently dropping weight back to 185. If you are really 200 pounds your health is at risk. You could very well end up with diabetes, at risk for heart attacks and strokes. If your mom doesn't think you have a weight problem she needs a reality check. You should be somewhere around 70lbs. Check out the link to Dr Phil's website I've provided. This is right to his weight area. Down towards the bottom is a section about child obesity. You will definitely need to change you eating/snacking habits. You will also need to exercise and take the weight off gradually.

  2. No offense, but your mom is wrong. 12 years old and 200 lbs is a bit on the obese side...

    I'm sixteen and I only weigh 110.

  3. Well, I'm 5'7 and I'm 155 lbs. I think that 200lbs is a bit on the heavy side no matter how old you are. I suggest you look up your BMI (google: BMI calculator) and see where your weight lies on the chart. My bet is that you are overweight or obese.

    Do you feel healthy? Or do you find it hard to participate in sports and stuff like that? At twelve years old I think you can start to lose a bit of the weight. Just make sure you make healthy snack choices and exercise more. It will take time, but since your body is still growing taller, the weight will naturally shift with you. Just make sure not to go on any unhealthy diets or anything. Try to get more involved in sports and school or do what I do and dance in your room. Dancing, jumping, or running will get your heart pumping which burns fat and helps your heart grow stronger.

    Finally, I think you should talk to your parent(s) and/or doctor about this. A doctor can give you suggestions on how to stay healthy and you might want to talk to your parents about making healthier meals.

    Best of luck and remember that as long as you're healthy, it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside -- it's what's inside that counts!

  4. OMG ur huge

  5. Yes you unfortunantly are. Uhmmm I'm 11 and I am 4'11 and I'm like 80 something. I think you should see a doctor or something. My mom doesnt even weigh 200 pounds and she is 5'7.

  6. Is your Mom 200 lbs or more? If your weight is not hereditary, I would ask your Mom to take you to see a Doctor immediately, your weight problem could be due to a major health problem. I know this from experience because I am 5'3 & I weighed 200 lbs at one time & I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. They prescribed lasix because a lot of it was water weight & I now weigh 155 lbs, which is still a lot for me, so please have your Mom call & schedule a dr. appt. for you;

  7. You know your Mom loves you and wants you to feel good about yourself.  But you are smart and you know that is too much weight to be carrying.  So be really careful about how much you eat, keep it healthy, and get exercise like walking everyday.
