Hey Everyone.

So I already have a Female, 6 year old English Springer Spaniel. I really really really want a Cockapoo. My parents say no because they do not want another dog underfoot and they say I can get one after my current dog dies. By that time I will be a Sophmore in College!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so unfair.

But I had an idea, What about a Potbelly Pig!!!!! I think that would be a fairly good alternative.

Problem is- I just read that a dog and a pig are a bad combo, because pigs are food to dogs.

Please help! I'm in a huge pickle! My parents won't let me do anything so list a lot of alternatives, and if possible some points that could help me convince them! They see this as a bad situation but i think it really is not that bad.

Please Help!

Thanks

  1. Well, A potbelly pig? If your parents Don't want another dog, I don't think that they will want a potbelly. My grandma used to have one, and it acted just as rambunctious as my Border Collie pup! How about getting a cat? They are Way cuddly. Of course, for its litter box, you will have to put it someplace the dog can't reach!

  2. Oh cool, I have a mini pot belly pig that I got at a farm that was $10 only! She is the sweetest thing, and even though she is "mini" do not be misunderstood because she is Not mini haha. She is about 120-175 pounds. I have 2 dogs and they are fine, my pig doesnt hurt them at all and is not scared. My dogs DO NOT hurt her they just walk right by like she just another dog. One thing I would recommend is getting a girl, even though they get fysty when they have there period (lol)  Males will get aggressive when they see the dogs. One more thing, is FOR sure get a baby and raise it to love people and never yell because the pig will remember that people yell so she automatically doesnt like them. I love my piggy and Ellie (my pig) is almost 10 which they live to be around 10 - 15 years. Well that raps it up, ohh and 1 more thing, make sure your dog knows it when the pig is growing up so they are used to eachother but other then that they get along great!!

Hope I helped and good luck.
