Question:

PLEASE HELP-- am i in labor?

i had my bloody show this morning around 11, and i am (as of 2 days ago) 2cm and 80% effaced, though this may have changed..

my contractions are now between 4 and 5 minutes apart, and are starting to become more painful.

but the pain in my back associated with the contractions isnt that bad.

the contractions themselves make me cringe and tense up and make my eyes water though.

this is my first baby so i dont know if this is a false alarm or the real deal?

everyone's bodies are different so im not sure what i should be really expecting...

can anyone please help me?

any advice would be nice.

  7. Okay, just....go to the doctor honey! If you can.

If it's a false alarm it's no biggie, women come in with false alarms all the time.

Keep breathing and try to relax!

  15. its better safe then sorry ... i would go to a docter . good louck with the new baby !

  16. Get to the hospital pretty quick it sound like true labor that's if the contractions are regular and not all over the place don't waste too much time cos by then it could be to late and you deliver in the car.

  17. BABIES!!!

  18. You have probably had the baby by now so congrats

  19. GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND GET OFF THE INERNET

  20. Go to the Hospital

  21. First time baby, these could be braxton-hicks contractions. That means "false" labor.  It's preparation for the real thing.  But it could be labor starting.  If it's real, you're having the baby.  If it's "false" you'll wake up in AM without contractions and still pregnant.  If you can relax enough to sleep, I would, making sure your suitcase is all packed.  If it's real, it'll get more and more intense and closer together.  You WILL know when it's time to go.  Don't panic and trust yourself.  Your body knows what it is doing.
