Okay. so i have a georgia license that's suspended. in order to straighten it out, i have to take what georgia calls a dui and risk reduction program. problem is, i haven't lived in georgia for about 5 years, and as far as i can tell, alabama (where i live now) dosen't have a risk reduction program. i called the georgia dds and they were completely useless, rude, and generally made me want to jump off a building. i've called everywhere i can think of. i need to find an Alabama program thats accepted by the georgia dds as an acceptable substitute for the risk reduction program. my only other option is to move to georgia to take the 20 classes required. but here's the catch, i can't cause i don't have a license. this has completely crippled my life!! PLEASE HELP!!

  1. GA cannot require you to move back to the state to finish a program only they offer.  That would fall under "cruel and unusual punishment".  Contact an attorney and have him speak for you in the matter.  You will just get frustrated trying to do it on your own.

  2. Sounds stupid but have you tried calling the Alabama DMV and ask them if they can help you.

    General Information: (334) 242-4371

    Driver License: (334) 242-4400

  3. Deal with Alabama DMV. Just don't go to Georgia That's all. REMEMBER! Don't drink and drive, you may hit a bump and spill your drink!!!

  4. No offense but thats why you change your license when you move or you get screwed like that.
