PLEASE HELP!!!!! im desperate?

My neighbors bought a bag-a-bug...a device that traps and kills Japanese beetles....i really dont want to see them all die...its only been a day and there are at least 400 beetles in there!! PLEASE help me think of a plan to save them!

  1. Not exactly legal, but you could sneak into your neighbors yard and steal the trap.

    However, I should point out that Japanese beetles are an invasive pest species that displace native species, creating al sorts of havoc on the environment


  2. Oh, ok. Hang on now and think about these consequences: If they caught 400 in a day, that means there are hundreds of thousands or millions in the area, and there aren't enough natural predators to keep balance.

    As beautiful as they are, they will destroy the plant life to the point where other insects and animals become scarce or die off, and they will eventually destroy the environment which supports them, causing the Japanese Beetles to die off entirely.

    A sad truth about conservation is that populations of species sometimes have to be reduced, because the consequences of letting the species continue to overpopulate can mean wholesale destruction of the environment.
