  1. The times I've had them, I've been exceedingly 'exhausted' and on the verge of waking up....

Like the first I recall I was working with a new boss and we had just finished up our calls for the day around 5:30...she said, "meet me at 6:15 for dinner."

So, I hadn't slept much the previous couple of days, in anticipation of her visit (nerves) and I thought, "I'll lie down for 30 minutes and be a little fresher for dinner."

While I was laying there, I heard a knock on my hotel door.  I got up, looked through the peephole, and saw it was someone knocking on the door next to mine.  I was so relieved I still had a few minutes left, turned around to get on the bed....and my BODY WAS ALREADY THERE.  ( I *thought* I was wide awake!!)

Is that what you mean by lucid?  It freaked me out completely at the time, but...like you, I think they are kind of trippy now.

Again, they seem to 'come to me' when I'm sleep deprived, and on the verge of waking up.  So however you could duplicate those conditions might do it.  I'd be interested in hearing...I'm curious what you dreamed, too.

  2. Im 11 and have had a lucid dream 3x up to now. There really cool and I wish I could have more...

  3. 1. Keep a dream journal. This is perhaps the most important step towards lucid dreaming. Keep it close by your bed at night, and write in it immediately after waking.

    2. Learn the best time to have a lucid dream. By being aware of your personal sleep schedule, you can arrange your sleep pattern to help induce lucid dreams.

*Studies strongly suggest that a nap a few hours after waking in the morning is the most common time to have a lucid dream.

    3. Try marking an "A" (which stands for "awake") on your palm. Every time you notice the "A" during your waking hours challenge whether you are awake or asleep. Eventually you may see the "A" in your sleep and become lucid.

  4. Lucid dreams are great, and through conditioning yourself, you can learn to extend the dream, and even have them every night.

    Here are some resources:

Steve Pavlina has devoted a podcast to lucid dreaming, I recommend listening to it: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/01...

There are also multiple books relating to lucid dreaming. Two of which I could recommend:

    Lucid Dreaming: http://tinyurl.com/5zzgbg

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming: http://tinyurl.com/6yql8m

  5. You have to consciously think about it in the day time and right before you go to sleep.  It takes practice in getting there, but you seem to have broke the barrier and now know what it feels like.

Since you had the first one the rest should get easier and easier.  The way to make them last is not to get so excited about them when you know your having one.  This wakes me up every-time.  Just remember to remain calm and take the dream where you want it to go.

  6. I'm sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about. Sounds fun and cool though. Good luck

  7. To get a better chance of having a lucid dream, just randomly during the day ask yourself if you are dreaming, then look at a magazine and then look away and turn back. If it doesnt randomly change, you are still awake. Doing this will give you a better chance of realizing you are in a dream. Then you can control it. Also, look for inevitable things and think about those. The more you do these things, the more second natured it will become. Then when you are dreaming, it will hit you on the head that something is out of the ordinary and then BAM you are in a lucid dream ^.^
